A graduate in Mathematics from the University of Barcelona, she is a secondary school maths teacher. In her free time she is a fan of photography as well as fantasy, horror and science fiction in both film and literature. In 2011 she won the Fourth Cryptshow Festival Tales of Horror prize. She was a finalist and winner of The Best Short Story in Spanish in the Fifth Competition for Short Stories in Horror and Gore (2011) organised by the Festival of Horror Films in Molins de Rei. She was a finalist in the ArtGerust Homage to Poe Second Short Story Competition in Horror. Apart from enjoying fantasy films as a cinema-goer, she took part in the filmstrip of the short movie Old Number Seven by director Gonzalo López.
A self-taught actor, he has played a wide range of parts in theatre and television. On stage, where he began acting at an early age, he has played roles written by the likes of Brecht, Kundera, Shakespeare, Lorca, Hanke, Valle-Inclán...at the same time founding an amateur company, Naked Theatre, where he experiments as a director and playwright. It was here, together with the director and playwright Sergi Belbel, that he triumphed in the play The Grönholm Method by Jordi Galceren, which became an unprecedented success in Catalan Theatre with more than 4 million spectators throughout the world. He has been in a variety of television series but he achieved popularity playing the part of Fede in the soap opera Heart of the City on Tv3, being a hit with both the critics and the public. He has presented programmes and quizzes on television (Toca el 2, Fin de año a Tv3), taken part in radio magazine programmes (Catalunya Ràdio) and done the voice for fictional characters such as Bonsai in Club Super 3.
In charge of content for Cardoterror, he is one of the founders and organisers of these cinema workshops which, since 2006, take place in Cardedeu and each year deal with a different theme within the genres of horror and fantasy. Apart from acting as the Master of Ceremonies, he deals with the press releases, anthology exhibitions and graphic design for the festival. He is also one half of the programme Rock'n Roll Sonic Reducer which is broadcast every two weeks on Radio Cardedeu.
The director and public face of CHAPARRA ENTERTAINMENT. He received his first camera at the age of 10 and by the age of 16 he had made 20 terrible home videos. Professionally active since 1997, he has made filmic outrages such as Brutal Dogo, a pernicious subproduction full of violence, and Gore which perversely delighted gore fans throughout Spain. He won the Waldemar Daninsky prize in Sitges 04 with Amazing Unmasked Vs. Doctor Calaver Maligna. With a subsidy from the ICCAA he filmed Martians Go Hombre! The Revenge of Sara Clockwork staring Alaska and shown in festivals all over the world, such as Toronto After Dark, where it won the Public Prize, Screamfest L.A. 08 and NY Horror Film Festival amongst others. He subsequently produced and directed Attack of the Mutant Penis from Space filmed in 3D Penisvision, shown in Sitges 07. Recently he has filmed the series Amazing Mask staring Manuela Velasco and the famous pornstar Dúnia Montenegro. He has also made videoclips for groups such as Los Tiki Phantoms and The Motorzombis, as well as editing the grotesque independent publication Amazing Monsters dedicated to Horror fans.
JUAN RUBÍ PUIG
Illustrator and soul of the company DKillerpanda, of which he is the founder. With more than 10 books to his credit, a collection of toys and a line in merchandising, his work has been exhibited in galleries and bars in Barcelona, Zaragoza, England and Australia.
